As soon as you hit the door, you can smell the cream in the air. They have combination flavors that all look appetizing on the menu. They allow you to sample flavors before making your selection. Bonus!!! I got the coffee with chocolate chips. Rich creamy and delicious. The coffee was a quality flavor that hits your tongue and immediately has you craving more! My husband got the fudge chocolate that was on point! We both got our own quart and they did not skimp on filling it up To The Brim! Much appreciated.
The only draw back to this location is the parking lot. Very small and tight to enter and exit. You have to pull in and out just to get into your space correctly. Definitely watch for other cars doing the same thing!
All in all, I can see why they have been in business since 1945. Great homemade ice cream.

First time here came by friends recommendation. Tried multiple samples and the blue eyed girl at the counter was very patient and have a pleasant personality. Finally opted for praline pecan and it was very good with lot of pecans. A little on the sweeter side but loved it. Special mention to the portion size. The one we ordered was small and it came out very big. For the price it’s totally worth it. Lot of parking and a it has a nostalgic ambiance

Honestly, some of the best ice cream I have ever had! We had heard from a few friends to stop here while we were on vacation, and it definitely lived up to all the hype! Tons of flavors! Parking was a little tight due to some construction around the building, but other than that, no complaints. The line moves fast, so we didn't have to wait long. I would highly recommend a pint of cookie brownie ice cream ?. Our kids loved the oreo milkshakes as well.

This charming ice cream shop is a must-visit for anyone looking to add a sprinkle of sweetness to their summer getaway! Handel's homemade goodness was the perfect sweet treat to top the end of our scorching day in Scottsdale! Delicious!
Be ready to sit outside or take it to go. The store shares little space to gather to enjoy their treats.

I didn't realize there was a Handel's in Phoenix/Scottsdale. When I lived in Fishers, IN I thought it was a local place only. I live Handel's and this place did not disappoint. I got the turtle sundae and it was huge! A little on the pricey side but so is everything in Scottsdale - to be expected. It was really, really good and one of my favorite ice cream joints. I will be back~

Amazing ice cream! By far best I've ever tried. Only reason I couldn't give it a 5 star was the lack of communication of service. Other than that well kept and clean. Definitely will come back. Also has 4 different DF options. Also they only allow 2 ice cream testers per person. We got a strawberry sundae with whip and nuts and cherry on top in cup, a waffle cookie dough and an oreo-dough with whip. So good. If you're in the Scottsdale area in AZ it's a must to take the family or yourself.

So, we were in Scottsdale for a whole week and were planning on trying a different ice cream place every night. But, we tried Handel’s on our first night. We have literally been unable to try any other place because of how GOOD Handel’s is. Between the eight of us, we tried a large percentage of all of the ice cream flavors. There was not a SINGLE flavor that wasn’t completely amazing. This ice cream is IT. The flavors are fantastic. But almost more importantly, the consistency of the ice cream could not be more perfect. Absolutely in love with this place. You do not need to go anywhere else. This is the best ice cream!!!

This is the first ice cream shop that left me full and for a decent price! I’ve never been here before but stopped by during a lunch break. I got the $7 sampler which to me, is the best bang for your buck. When they have signs that say “we never skimp” they mean it. My sampler came with four different flavors, all high quality in taste! This isn’t your average ice cream, it’s rich in flavor and leaves you satisfied. I was thinking this place was gonna be expensive and a bit of a rip off but it outdoes Baskin Robins 100 times over! Perfect place for the family or if you’re in the mood for a quick dessert after lunch or dinner!
