Hands down the best pineapple cookies in Singapore. OMG. My husband and I tried one each, ate them on the way out of the bakery… and immediately came back for 10 more lol

Passed by this shop and decided to pop in to take a look. I don't stay near the area but happened to be nearby. I have bought from here many years back and it was very old school.
Stepped in and nothing much has changed. Still very old school and selling traditional pastries and memorable snacks.
Wanted to buy a few items which included the cakes. I asked the uncle how long it could withstand outside the fridge and he said about 1.5 hours. I told him I would be having dinner first and he asked me to come back later to buy instead.
I had such a long dinner I almost forgot about it and I went back the shop close to 9 and the uncle was waiting for me to pick up the cake. It was so nice of him to wait, being so friendly and patient to customers.
Bought the kaya cake, which is not the normal pandan cake and is quite unique and nice, tastes better than a normal pandan cake for me.
Also bought the yam mousse cake and it was so good. Loved the middle layer of the cake between the sponge it was like a thick layer of pressed steamed yam which was so good.
Also not forgetting getting a piece of the traditional salty tau sar piah. So nostalgic.
Very cheap prices for the pastries too. A good place to walk down memory lane and enjoy some snacks and pastries from the past.

Pineapple tarts ($18 for the smaller container with a gold lid, $25 for the bigger container) were not too sweet with crumbly pastry. Would have preferred a more fragrant pineapple jam & buttery pastry. Shopkeeper said it's made at their factory in woodlands.

Banana cake ($4.50) had a light banana flavour & fluffy texture. I liked it a bit better than the pineapple tarts. Good for those who like something with a milder banana taste

Their muffin’s price has gone up to 1 dollar per piece. But it is ridiculously small. Can be finished in one mouthful. Not worth it.

But their chicken pie is $2 and huge🤩🫢 wishing for the middle ground 😃

This traditional cake and pastry shop has the best and most natural Pandan chiffon cake. I believe they don’t use colours and flavours, the cake has natural green colour and good taste. Their Kaya cake is also nice.

Visited on 23/07/2022. Out from Beauty World MRT station Exit B opposite. Attracted by the crowds in the small confectionery shop and the pink and white coloured tiles outside the shop. There's a queue at the cashier counter too.

Attracted by the mini muffin, there are total 12 different flavours which are Mango, Orange, Banana, Lemon, Pandan, Raisin, Walnut and Oreo, each selling 70cents. Brought Walnut, Lemon and Pandan flavours. Like the Pandan and Lemon flavours. Can pay by PayLah or PayNow for purchase over $10. In front of the queue many ppl brought the pies and mini muffins.
