Absolute favourite patisserie in sg!!! 😌🫶🏼 their pastries are rly top-notch. The quality of ingredients, technique & visuals are unmatched.. all the pastries here have been outstanding & you can’t go wrong with any… i love this place! Have been patronising since their days in Hougang xd

Had a sudden craving for choux pastry and this highly rated place was near by. Unfortunately you need to order online to pickup as they dont sell it over the counter anymore.

I walked past Ciel several times whilst looking for the shop (need to get eyes checked) as their Halloween decorations were more eye-catching than the shop’s sign. note- Ciel is next door to Catea, a cat petting cafe.

Very impressed with their detailed presentation of Halloween high tea (available to take away). Considering that each pastry here sells at $8+, the $69 set consisting of 9x2 bite size pastries, plus jam, plus 2 luxe tea sachets from Gryphon Tea Company, plus FOC bag of brownies and a goody bag of candies seemed like a wonderful opportunity to taste test their products. Not disappointed. Pastries are not too sweet. Savories were delicious. Tea was good.

[Aug 2023] Tucked away in obscure Thomson V One lies this minimalist cafe that serves an array of pretty and refreshing desserts.

Similar to the overall chill vibe of the cafe, each component of the strawberry shortcake and lemon meringue tart that we got were blissfully simple, light and lovely.

Amongst the many cafes around Upper Thomson that we’ve tried, the cakes at Ciel really stood out. It’s here that you can taste the passion and technicalities the founder took away from Le Cordon Bleu 👩‍🍳

The most amazing and delicious cakes!!!

Fresh, deep, fruity flavours. Top marks for the pistachio raspberry tart! Matcha tart was rich and lovely, earl grey was light and fragrant. Tiramisu was also great. Everything was just the rich amount of sweetness. The Halloween tea set was fantastic - the best quality and look of any high tea sets I’ve ever had. Prices are also very affordable for the quality. Highly recommend everything fruit flavoured.

I can only wish that the café were in a more central location so I could visit often. Would definitely pay more. Please consider opening at Joo Chiat, Ciel would be a worthy competitor of Tigerlilly’s!

Teas are a bit sweet though, personal preference for them not to be, to pair betterwith dessert.

As a fan of their patisserie, we definitely had to check out their newly opened location over at Thomson V.

We ordered the Matcha tart, Pistachio Rasberry tart & the Black Sesame tart.

Firstly, we began with the Matcha Tart, loved how rich the matcha flavour is, I wasn't a big fan of matcha, but I loved how rich this one is and made an exception.

As for the raspberry tart,
It has a good combination of sweet and sour. The Pistachio ganache tastes sweet and the raspberry tart, sour. I recommend eating both the pistachio ganache cream and the raspberry tart together for a great time!

Last but not least, we had the Black Sesame Tart, and I've got to say it hits the spot just right. The flavour isn't too sweet and tastes just right.

Loved how cosy and relaxing the space is.

10/10 would definitely visit again!

I came here for the third time, I really like the strong bakery smell when I open the door, which makes people feel happy. Must buy every time Petit Tart Gift Box (6 pcs).The tarts are absolutely amazing and delicious. My favourite is the Chocolate Almond Tart &Lemon Meringue Tart.
The cake will prefer Earl Grey Lavender , Carrot Cake, Rose.Especially is Rose was amazing very smell rose and smooth with a cornflakes base.I love it.

Reasonable pricing with great tastes.Great ambience and high quality desserts. I will come back again.
Strongly recommend.
