Have been there 3 times since they have opened. Really love the handmade chocolates and the pretty cakes are nice too. Wonderful ambiance which is lovely for afternoon tea. Friendly service by Georgina and Ragu that recommends on what are good to try and ensures we are well taken care during every visit.
However, as we park at Raffles Hotel and no signage, most of my friends got lost and had difficulty locating the outlet. It would be good to have clear signage from Hotel to the outlet.
Other than that highly recommend!

I had skipped breakfast and I was hungry so I ordered a quiche and some cakes to share with my friend. The quiche was melt in your mouth creamy unlike the somewhat overbaked ones at cafes. The coffee and teas were good too. I had a scoop of pistachio ice cream which was yummy. Will be back for more! Tomato quiche for my next visit!

Have visited twice. First on their official opening day, and second visit was just last weekend. Service has improved tremendously since opening day...I attribute it to opening teething problems with staff still learning the ropes. In my second visit, the wait staff were much more confident with the products, much warmer (less nervous perhaps!) and very forthcoming with good suggestions on what to try. The lady at the counter was lovely as well, explaining the difference between the different types of chocolate and cakes.

On to the food. The cakes are of course exquisite. Beautiful to look at, and most of what we tried were delightful. Our favourite individual cakes were the Progres and Red Square as the flavor combinations were very well done. We of course had to try their signature Moet & Chandon cake, which is only available as a takeaway whole cake option. It was indeed very good. You can smell the champagne once you open the box. The flavor was strong, yet not overwhelming, and the sponge was a good counterpoint to the champagne ganache. It has a thin layer of marzipan at the sides, which some may not like but we thought it was fine..not overpowering at all like some marzipan can be. We also bought some bouchees to try, and each piece was very good. The chocolate feels lux and indulgent.

This has become our new favourite dessert spot in town. Will definitely go back again to try more cakes and try the other champagne cake they have on the menu.

FYI for those who drive. The staff told us that if we park at Raffles Hotel, we can get complimentary parking coupons. Good to know since it's not easy finding parking in the area.

We were walking past after lunch thinking this look like a new store in town when one of the staff Ragu stepped out, showed us the menu and invited us in to take a look. The cafe/bar/restaurant looks new and well decorated with the usual Raffles flare. Ragu gave excellent service and recommended that we take the red square as our desert. We had the AM and PM herbal tea. We were so impressed by the desert that we took away an extra box of chocolate.

This unexpected find salvaged an unsatisfactory lunch we just had nearby. Kudos to Huize and team. Ragu salvaged our lunch outing.

A new joint in town. A good first impression. We are sure we will be back to try their other offerings.

Excellent service from Georgina and Su. Georgina passionately recommended us some of her favorites - Apple Pie with a dollop of Pistachio ice cream. They complemented each other so well and the cinnamon in the apple pie was a perfect amount to enhance the medley of flavours. We had a lovely chat with her as she explained to us the history & background of this place which I have been wanting to visit for months and this visit certainly did not disappoint. Su also recommended us some of her favorites, like the ice cream cakes - mango and orange in particular, which we were very impressed with and agreed they were hands down the best ice cream cake we had in Singapore by a long shot. Definitely have plans to come back for more sweet treats as well as their hot food next time; looking forward to the next encounter with the lovely staff here. Highly recommended to give this place a try where zealous staff are truly knowledgeable about the products they offer.

A renowned Dutch patisserie and chocolatier, the concept store exudes a colonial charm with arched walkways and high ceilings. It features a retail space, tea room, and a gorgeous Pink Bar lounge.

The lounge oozes a blend of elegance and comfort with marble tables, plush velvet seats, and a bar set against an arch shelf and beautiful blooms. Pairing with a pot of hot tea, we went with a trio of desserts that were priced around $13 - $15.

Mango Passion
With its vibrant, tropical colours, this sliced cake has several layers of flavours combined of mango-passion fruit crereus, mango-passion fruit mousse, and a baked almond biscuit with almond paste. It was light and airy with a balance of sweetness, tang, and nuttiness.

Red Square
The delicate square cake creation combines the flavours of creamy white chocolate and tart raspberry and redcurrant. It has layers of moist almond sponge cake, airy white chocolate mousse, and redcurrant cream, encased in a milk chocolate shell with almond bits. It has a tart layer of raspberry jelly covering that is visually gorgeous.

Framboisier
Visually the most stunning and elegant. This delightful cool dessert is made up of raspberry sorbet, pistachio ice cream and vanilla ice cream on a base of almond tyrolienne and raspberry feuilletine. Topped with frozen raspberries, it was perfectly sweet and tart, and nutty and creamy to have on a hot day. I would order a scoop of the raspberry sorbet on its own. It was refreshing and sweet with plenty of tartness. Love it!

Although I'm not blown away (other than the Framboiser), it is a gorgeous spot to chill and enjoy exquisite desserts. Would come back to try their chocolate truffles and bouchees.

🟨 Location = Huize van Wely Singapore ( Raffles Hotel) at Seah street side.

🔷️ I came to Huize van Wely at Raffles Hotel after learning about the shop's impending opening from Tatler Singapore's instagram.

● Abit of history first
***
🟧 This famous century-old Dutch patisserie and chocolatier has opened its first tea room and bar branch in Singapore.

🔶️ Huize van Wely was originally inaugurated in the Netherlands in 1922, and has over a century's expertise in crafting their exquisite & beloved pastries and cakes.

🟡 The tea room is located along Seah Street ( ➡️ opposite Swee Kee Chicken Rice shop). This is Huize van Wely's first tea cafe in Singapore.

🟡 This tea room cafe is really beautiful and elegant, reminiscent of cafes you see in Europe. ▪︎I had the Cafe Latte and the Mocha Vanilla Eclair.

🤎 The eclair's texture & flavour is well executed. The cream is rich and flavourful, and the choux pastry is not too hard, and I could easily slice it with a dessert spoon. The only thing is- the caramelised sugar coating on the eclair is a tad overly sweet for me.

🟡 Service wise= the staff, Sue, Endang, Georgina and Ragu were all very friendly, cheerful, attentive and affable. ▪︎ I am going to take my husband here for a second tea outing.

🙏🏻 Thank You to the staff for the great hospitality earlier on:) 🤎Please keep up the good work.

Surely this is the new hotspot for afternoon tea. The Dutch outpost of the famed patisserie arrived just a couple of months ago, tucked neatly into the Seah Street corner of Raffles Hotel. Dressed in modern European flair, the vibe is luxe on the quiet or stealth wealth. Picked to please and pamper, the café offerings are all air flown daily frozen before being fluffed and readied for freshness and taste. Languishing to relax an afternoon away, we sipped on delicious teas (a good and sizeable selection) and coffees as we savoured the pastries from a scrumptious quiche to various tarts, cakes, chocolates and ice creams too, granted some were almost too pretty to eat. In the fortnight of my first visit, I had been back twice and look forward to my next return.
