Ero l'unico non cinese? colazione con atmosfera particolare. Il posto è frequentato da anziani che leggono il giornale, ovviamente in cinese. Dolci molto buoni

This is like going back in time, the store is old and only one person serving the long line at noon. She said the other person is taking his or her lunch break, and it is hard to find people who want to work nowadays. She apologizes for being slow even she is serving non stop at noon time.

We discovered this after we had dim sum just across the street at Mama Lu’s. I guess they get their pastry from this place, not only identical, but also a bit cheaper. We packed some to go and it is cheaper this way.

They do have a lot of options ranging from traditional Chinese cakes to modern ones. I can see the kitchen just right behind the counter. They sell fast as the line stays long for a pretty long period of time. Not sure whether it is noon or only at noon it has a lot of people.

The store is old and not actually neat. I guess they are busy focused on their product and there is no dine in or tables for people to stay anyways.

I respect hard working people. She speaks Cantonese to other buyers. As for us, we can buy the same pastry without going to restaurants and bring home, I am ok with that.

The food is actually tasty and generous, or compared to what you get, it is considered cheap. Some from Irvine and some from other parts of the city get to together in line to purchase their product. I guess they do have something to attract buyers. My first time experience and it was not a bad one.

First time coming here and it will definitely not the last time. The workers are very helpful. Prices are reasonable and the quality of their food are A+++. Here’s what we ordered and don’t forget to asked for utensils, soy sauce and hot sauce ☺️

chicken bun (so much filling)
Lo Mai Gai (really good)
sweet rice cake ?
leek cake ?
bbq pork rice rolls ?
pork siomai? (definitely needed to order more because it warms up good for the following day)
shrimp dumplings?
egg rolls? hubs approved
sesame balls ?
baked hotdog bun (my 11 yrs old love it)

Definitely need to comeback for the porridge because they ran out of it by the time we got there.

Place I never skip whenever I go to Chinatown in DTLA. It's my go-to for the best pork siomai and baked snow roll. My favorites include the rice cake, custard egg tart, and veggie egg rolls. Service is fast. I was surprised that there wasn't a long line today. There is usually a line here.

Came here for the first time. Kind of hole in the wall, but lots of good choices. Dim sum is Hong Kong style, and good quality. The service is friendly and helpful, very old school taking the order on a pad of paper. Somehow part of the order wasn't communicated to the person packing my order, and arrived home to discover that one item was missing. I would go back sometime, but I'm not making a special trip. They had a lot of custard tarts, which were quite good. My family ordered 4. I should have gone with my gut and ordered 10.

Fried donut sticks are solid, like bread. Chinese fried donut sticks are not like this at all. Zongzi (sticky rice wrapped by leaf) has lots of rice but less fillings, and some glutinous rice is dry.
The shrimp dumpling dough are rough and a little tasteless.
If your goal is to fill your stomach, there is no problem eating here, cause they're not too bad to swallow. but if you go there to try the Chinese breakfast, don't

One of my pit stops when I pass by Chinatown. Get your dimsum to go, in and out. You don't come here for service, you come here for cheap comfort food and speed. Cash is preferred, after the pandemic they now accept credit cards with a $10 minimum order. Recommendations: special chicken bao, pork shumai, bbq pork rice roll, bbq pork bun, hom gok, and sesame balls.

I recently tried the custard tart which was good! Buttery flaky and good. And I mainly go for their sesame balls. I’m still on a mission to find the best sesame balls which is one of the desserts I loved to get growing up. They need to up their game on up keeping the spot tho. Mom and pop shops are awesome but they need to up the cleaning and need of more friendly service.
