Hands-down my favorite ice cream in LA! Whenever you get the ice cream in a cup you have to get the melted chocolate shell on top trust me check out the picture it’s so good

I love Mateo’s ice cream! If this place was close to me I would probably visit every day. Their rum raisin gelato has me. I truly crave this ice cream, the bold and rich flavor along with the way it melts is just incredible.

My kid gets a scoop of vanilla with rainbow sprinkles, and my husband likes their cookies and creme gelato in a waffle cone,

You can keep it simple here with a fruit salad, or go all in with a banana split topped with all the fixings.

The people who work here are super friendly and helpful. They’ll let you try gelato flavors.

If it’s busy just wait a few minutes and the line should clear out. They do an amazing job at accommodating the rushes throughout the day. There’s a nice area outside you can enjoy ice cream at too ☺️

Just by looking at their ice cream you can tell it's bursting in flavor and wholeness.

Bright, vivid and totally all natural ice cream in the form of gelato and also ice cream bars.

Smoothies are sold here along with fresh pressed juices and freshly cut fruit.

I ordered a scoop of strawberry Fresca and a scoop of horchata. It was creamy and reminded me of a strawberry Sunday from McDonalds but better. Nordy got a scoop of chocolate that was rich and decadent. Our 3 scoops came out to about $6.50.

My husband and I discovered Mexican Ice Cream on our recent trip to Los Angeles. It was love at first taste! This was not your regular hard, frozen American ice cream. This was smooth, creamy and heavenly. Almost like frozen custard but not quite and the flavors all genuine, especially the fruits. There were dozens to choose from. Everything from Mango and Pina Colada to Chocolate Coffee and Egg Nog Raisin. We were unable to stay away. Four visits in one week. How will I survive without Matteo’s back home

Great selection of exotic flavors for their popsicles and ice cream. My favorite is the walnut Popsicle. I hear they have a good sandwich too but I've never tried that

As a Latina who just moved to the state, I was pretty excited to find an ice cream shop that was laid back & had the unique flavors I love. I ended up getting 2 big scoops-one of coconut and one passion fruit for $5! Compared to other ice cream shops that give you a teaspoon for $7, this was a great find. They do let you sample ice cream before buying, so I’d do that since not all of the flavors are as amazing as the last.
The interior decor seems to be their signature style, it’s an old design & aging, but seems to fit their overall vibe.
It’s very close to the bike path—so this is a great pick me up after a long ride.
Indoor seating: 2-3 tables.

Only 3 people allowed in at a time because of covid. They have a lot of sherbets and ice cream, also popsicles. I tried their guava and mango sorbet. Both were not to sweet. Just perfect. 2 scoops was $5. Can't wait to try their other flavors. Customer service was excellent.

Hey, why isn't it a 5? Fruit bars were 5 but ice cream was probably a 4. I tried coconut flavor and it wasn't a 5. Service was great for a crowded place and do ask to try before you buy. It could be hard to find parking in front so park on the street or further away from laundromat.
